One of my favorite books in December was Moontide by Amanda V Shane. I don’t even have the words to describe the deliciousness that is Ronan. So I tracked her down to answer my 10 Nosy Questions.

10 Nosy Questions

Describe your life in a nutshell.

I am a Colorado native. I grew up dancing ballet all over my state for places like the Pueblo Ballet, Sangre De Cristo Arts Center and the Colorado Ballet. At sixteen I was accepted into the Interlochen Arts Academy’s dance program in upstate Michigan. From there I trained with the Joffrey Ballet School in New York, but eventually came home to Colorado to dance and eventually teach. I now live in a rural area of Colorado with my husband, our five kids, a dog and a mini pig. When I am not wrangling kids I write fantasy and paranormal romance.

What book do you recommend to everyone – even people who don’t ask?

Lol! I’m always trying to get my romance reading friends to read the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning because she’s one of my very favorite authors and her dark urban fantasy fae world is one that I was completely swept away by.

^ Same girl. Same.

Which of your quirks have you written into a character?

I guess I would have to say my nerdiness and also some of my cynicism shows up in my characters from time to time.

Have you written someone who was rude into a book so you could get eternal payback?

Haha, I haven’t yet but the idea has merit.

Which book boyfriend would you run away with?

Oh, probably like all of them. Seriously though, I fell in love with John Ruark from Kathleen E Woodiwiss’s Shanna a long time ago, but nowadays it would definately be a toss up if Jerricho Barrons from the Fever series came swaggering up.

Have you ever taken a book-cation?

Hmmm, I’ve been to a lot of house museums that have been mentioned in books and have visited the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park that inspired Stephen King’s The Shining.

What Fandom do you geek out over?

Harry Potter of course! I also got caught up in the Anne Rice craze of the 90s.

Does anyone in your family read your books? If they do can they look you in the eye at Thanksgiving?

I have quite a few family memembers who have read my books. they’re all very supportive and even put up with my ramblings about book ideas.

How many more stories are rattling around in your brain trying to get out?

Oh, so many. my main focus is on my Tides of Atlantis books. I’d like to make that into a big series with maybe a couple of spin offs. I also plan to write more in my Enchanted Lands collection which is inspired by various charcters from story ballets I’ve performed in or set for stage production.

What did you have the most fun with in your last novel?

I love all the research. it’s a huge rabbit hole for me but I really enjoy learning new things and gathering bits of information for my writing, especially about world mythologies which play a cenral part in my Tides of Atlantis books.
